Santa Ponsa Majorca (Mallorca)

The holiday resort of Santa Ponsa lies around 20 kilometres from Palma airporton the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca). It is located on the south western side of the island of Mallorca. The resort is popular with holidaymakers from Ireland, Britain, and Germany to name but a few.

The highlight of Santa Ponsa is the golden sandy beach with its crystal clear blue waters. The beach offers a plenty of sunbeds to catch the golden rays. The beach is backed by a beautiful pine forest which on the hottest summer days can make for a great escape from the suns intensive rays. As well as sunbathing there are lots of water sport opportunities on the beach and boat trips on offer.

Santa Ponsa has a wide range of hotels with an array of star ratings and catering options. For those on a self-catering basis, the resort has a good supply of eateries. There are also a range of supermarkets in the resort offering a great selection on UK branded products alongside the local produce.

With the resort being a favourite amongst both Scottish and Irish travellers, the night-life in the resort has a strong Celtic theme. There are plenty of night time entertainment options in the resort, including bands, tribute acts and general cabaret. Although the area has a lively night life it obviously cannot be compared to the revellers resort of Magaluf or Palma Nova. Overall Santa Ponsa is a great choice for a family holidays visiting the wonderful island of Mallorca.
