Soller, Majorca (Mallorca)

Soller is a town and resort on the North West of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca). The main down lies about 3 kilometres inland from the Port of Soller. Like much of the rest of the island the economy of the area is mainly based on tourism, however, there is also a small agriculture industry which mainly produces citrus fruits and olive products.

In the town the central point is the Placa Constitucio or Constitution square. The square in surrounded by café's, trees and has a fountain in the middle giving it a quaint feel. There is also a tram which passes through the centre of the town. Still want more? Then other attractions around the town include several museums.

Puerto de Soller is the place where most people choose to holiday in the region. The port has a quaint charm about it, with its ‘picture postcard’ views. The port is littered with restaurants and cafes serving tempting Mallorcan cuisine, freshly caught sea food, and many options offer a good value 'Menu Del Dia' (Menu of the day).

The beach in the resort is famous for its turquoise blue water that is great for taking a dip on a warm summer day. The sand is golden and the beach is a great location for those who want to catch some Mallorcan holiday sunshine rays.

There plenty to do in the resort with Soller being a short journey away from the Alfabia Gardens which are great to explore. They conjure up the feeling that you exploring a beautiful exotic rain forest with its grand trees and great variety of vegetation. From the coast there are also some options such as taking a boat trip or even canoeing in Soller.

Soller is yet another great location to have a fun filled holiday on the island of Mallorca. Moreover, the town is well connected with Palma and other resorts, by road with a highway into Palma, by boat to nearby resorts and by rail too.
